An RM750X would be more than plenty for a Ryzen 5 3600 + up to (and including) an RTX 3070. Maybe RTX 3080 too, but I'm not too sure.

So yes, the RM750X would be more than plenty for an RX 580.

In future If i wanted to upgrade the GPU to something upto £300 GBP /$410 USD

Would the RM750x perform ok ?

A 750W for a RX580 +3600 is a bit overkill. And if you wanted to upgrade to something like a 3060 Ti is the future(when they become available) all that you would really need is 600W-650W. I am running a Ryzen 5 3600+RTX 3060 Ti right now with a 600W just fine.

Granted, I have 3 hard drives, 2 optical drives, a Zip drive, and a floppy drive too.
While a 750W would be overkill, I'm going to say get it because you never know what you might upgrade to in the future.

the max I would go for the system personally is 500w anything more unless you wanna future proof is a waste of money.  750 watts is the reccomended psu for a 3080 and 3080 I believe but I've seen some folk saying it's not enough and leading to some instability. but 3070 would be great

Uhm, no, a 3600, 650Ti Boost and a few drives don't pull 600W of power.

You can run an RTX 3070 on a 500 watt power supply (if it's a good unit)

You've got enough watts for basically whatever you want.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

Oh, right, one of the worst PSUs out on the market right now.

I have a Corsair SF600 Platinum, and it works fine with a 3600 and a 3060 Ti. i think that a 650W will work just fine for @venomx
