How are you measing wifi speeds?

Try testing on your local network instead of using a test over the internet.

im just using speedtest on my phone. my pc is plugged into the wifi 6 router and gets the full speed its just wifi that seems to be slower

What does the router report the PHY rate to be?

WiFi 6 isn't really about faster speeds for one client, it's about better overall performance when there are many concurrent active clients.

The performance of a router depends on the effective AX spee (for Wi-Fi 6) or AC speed for Wi-Fi 5.

I have AC 3100 Wi-Fi 5,it's very fast (getting 1Gb/s)

It should work the wifi connection speed in the router to get the connection speed. There are a lot of variables to wifi speed, so this helps you know what type of conenction you have. Look under list of wifi clients.

That seems pretty normal for wifi, also those phones are a bit limited wifi speed, I think there 80mhz max channel width aswell.

Your paying for 1000mbit wired, not on wifi, so if possible test over your local network to remove the isp as a variable.

Can you show a screenshot of the wifi client list, and the info about the client.

Being a phone, this will be much hardware, do you have a laptop or desktop to test with?

I really wouldn't worry about this, those speeds are expected for wifi connections.

You need both a capable router and a capable Wi-Fi card.

I checked the specs of your router, you have fallen for deceptive marketing,

3000 Mbps is the effective speed it's not the true speed, but that number is not the actual effective speed, since they combined the effective speeds of both the 2.4GHz band and the 5GHz band,

Furthermore your router has two 2x2 systems, which lowers the effective speed even more, one of them does not support Wi-Fi 5 AC signals at all.

Also the speed depends on your Wi-Fi card as well.

What Wi-Fi card do you have?

The Wi-Fi in the SOC of the iPhone could be the limiting factor.

that doesnt explain why the wifi on the xfinity modem is faster

Out of curiosity, how are the AX3 and Xfinity devices connected? I.e. from your 1Gbps ISP connection to your computer.

Are you using the AX3 and Xfinity devices at the same time? Are they both providing WiFi?

Please post the wireless settings of both the AX3 and the Xfinity device as you see them in the administration interface. Obviously, sanitize any private information as necessary.

i have my pc plugged into the router then the router into the modem both with eithernet, and yes they are both providing WiFi. i did try turning off the xfinity device WiFi and it didnt change anything. and both are using default settings

So is the AX3 (which is plugged into the Xfinity gateway) running in access point mode?
