Can both nvme and m.2 fit in the same slot?

So I'm currently using an Asus tuf b350m-plus gaming mother with a Samsung 860 EVO 250G SATA M.2 and currently upgrading to a b450 aorus elite (rev. 1.x). I'm a newbie in building a pc and thought that it may not be compatible with my current boot drive.

That is the slot (aka the form factor)

they come in tow options, SATA SSD or nVME. nVME is faster, but both are plenty fast.

Like mentioned above, M.2 is just a form factor, and the drives themselves are SATA or NVMe.

 

There are some exceptions to this, such as very old motherboards and some laptops, but for modern motherboards with ryzen processors there's no difference.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad
