We were coming underneath an overpass, and an F-350 came off the exit from the freeway, and T-boned our rear passenger door/ part of my passenger door (where I was riding).

I was ok at the time, but after I got home it really hurt to walk and my hip was throbbing, so I went to the doctor and he recommended me Chiropractic care, as well as some Physical Therapy.   After 2 years of that, it wasn't really getting any better so the doctor had me take an MRI.  They found that I had "Sacro-Illiac Joint Dysfunction" and Arthritis inbetween my discs, as well as "Degenerative Disc Disease" that was much worse than what I should have at my age.

I'm still pretty messed up, the only fix would be Cortisone shots every 6 months directly inbetween my sacrum, and hip. My insurance doesn't cover it and it's like 600$ each shot. :/

Jeez, man. Glad you're okay (I'm serious).

Not to try to best you, but my family's last car was a '97 Buick Skylark, and some asslick in an Outback? rear-ended my dad, and it wanted to veer right after that, since the frame was bent. My dad was able to straighten it PERFECTLY, however the frame was still weakened in several spots, even after some really good reinforcements. Then we sold it, and I heard it was t-boned SO bad that the frame had a 20 degree bend. Thankfully, the lady was okay for the most part, since it was on the passenger side. And the dude got off clean, even though he was under the influence. Oddly enough, I think it was a lowered F-350 that did this...

The thick stuff just looked weird IMO, and the blue didn't match at all.    I think if I would of gotten the pastel red it'd look almost.. "To red" and to bright.  I figured since the color scheme on the ROG board is red+black+grey, a darker red would match the red+ the darker colors on the board.

I'm just hoping I can get my backplates+ new cables, and more gentle typhoons for my bottom rad soon, then I'll be so happy xD

Alrighty, I will!  I'm just waiting on tax returns, or an extra 20$ to come floating by so I can RMA my old hx1050, then sell that+ my custom sleeved extensions + my noctuas + my broken 480mm rad for like 300-350$ all together, that'll pay for my backplates + my new sleeving, and a few extra gentle typhoons.

I've also gotta pay ebay 90$ for freaking fees.. :/

You should clean up some of the cables when you get new sleeved ones. The cables going into the 5.25" bay could be done differently in particular.

They will be when I get the new cables, ( hence why I put it in the to do list :P )

The 5.25'' bay ones I'll fix when I get time to rip out the rad, there's a hole in the back of the 5.25 bay that I can route them all through and it won't be seen.  I'll probably do it when I get my PCB fan splitters.

  • 1 month later...

Nice one bro! I still don't have the guts to do a full water cooling system, and you did it on your first build lol

How much time it took you for the first one? I'm convincing myself into it, I'm thinking on water cooling the CPU first so I get my confidence then later on the cards. It's for my new summer build.

It took about 4 hours to do it, it could be MUCH nicer if I took the time to make everything perfect, but this PC is my "daily driver" so to speak, I use it everyday and don't want to spend weeks making a proper "build log" so to speak.

(I know some people spend the same amount of money as me and have "show rigs" but they also spend weeks building, which is time I don't have :P)

I may downgrade to a 4790k when it comes out, and an MSI x power or M power, then switch everything to yellow and black+grey (I've always liked that color scheme).  If I do this I'll actually take the time to make everything extremely nice lol

That's the MB I have in mind lol I've found some good yellow/black sleeved extensions on ebay. I'll be sure to follow that build log if you do it!
