Watercooled 900D [3930k, RIVE, 2X 780, 32GB RAM] [WIP]

Lays

Hey guys, I didn't want to update my old build log, because of the crappy-ness of the thread, so I'm starting again.

I just finished getting in my red coolant, and figured I'd share some pictures.

Backstory:

I was in a car accident awhile back, and since then I've been on somewhat of a house-bound "lifestyle" and I took a heavy interest into computers, and decided I wanted to build my own.

I had never built a PC before, and barely worked on them in the past, so I did tons of research for about 2 years, planning what I wanted, reading reviews, looking at what the best parts were now, and before in the past. I quickly found myself really getting into it, and planning everything out. Eventually I came up with a parts list:

The original parts list was basically the same as I have now, except a Haf X case and a Titan.  When the gtx 780 came out, I sold my titan and bought 2 780's, seeing as it was almost double the performance, at almost the same cost.

I'm now investigating a career in PC's since I've become so passionate about the hardware, and the inner-workings and "modding" scene. I think it's absolutely amazing what people can come up with, and I'd like to be a part of that.

I'll have a mod delete the other one after I make a spoiler with the old build log parts/pictures.    The old one is an absolute mess with the way it was organized.

You should clean up some of the cables when you get new sleeved ones. The cables going into the 5.25" bay could be done differently in particular.

Ahh I see.:/ since that gpu fitting is dead in-between the next 16x slot after the first you can only fit like a small sound card or whatever on the bottom :|

You need to change the 6 and 8 pin PCI power cables. They are red, but a bad looking red. What PSU do you have?

CPU: i7-4770k CPU Cooler: NH-D14 RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8gb GPU: EVGA Superclocked 780 ti MOBO: ASUS Maximus VI Gene PSU: Corsair RM 850 Case: Bitfenix Prodigy M

I'm guessing it's an EVGA one.

It's a Corsair HX1050

EVGA Supernova 1000 P2

Oh, I was going to say just get the Corsair ones if he had a Corsair PSU. Shouldn't they still work though?

needs more ram and lc it too

Liquid cooling RAM is the definition of useless (unless you are a hardcore overclocker of RAM, which is a very small audience) and in some case it can actually clutter the loop or overall look.

Na, the part that plugs into the PSU is a bit different and the cables have ferrite beads, apparently I don't need them but I'll be either sleeving them myself, or getting extensions.

I agree btw, the EVGA cables are god-awful ugly.

Like this:

@Izaya Orihara I'm hoping to buy 8 more gentle typhoons to replace them, I really don't like the nf-f12's noise. :/

A guy on the forums actually helped me out and said he used that pattern in a rig, gave me some pics and stuff. I may be asking him to do it since he was so nice.

What block is that from your old pictures?

An EK FC-Titan Nickel Plexi block. I really like the see-throughness of them, otherwise I would of gotten sleek black ones.

Same here. I want my build log to look awesome when I post it but I hear you can rent cameras for cheap online (like 800+ Rebels and whatnot).
