Is HDCP2.3 required on TV

Hi,

Do I need to have HDCP2.3 on my new TV I’m going to purchase. My nee AV receiver does support HDCP2.3 (Denon 4700H). The TV I’m looking at is HDMI2.1 4K@120Hz)but only HDCP2.2 Do I really need HDCP2.3 in say the next 3-4years?

what tv? if it has hdmi 2.1 it should also have HDCP 2.3. they go hand in hand. i betting your looking at the hdmi 2.0's on it. those will only be HDCP 2.2
