G-SYNC screen tearing or what is it?

Hi guys, I have a problem with a G-SYNC, whenever i enable this feature it causes this problem as shown in my Asus GL502vs (gtx1070). Anyone knows how to fix this problem? it happens all games, not only in Cyberpunk 2077, also Death Stranding, even Call of Duty, last year this problem never occured. (all drivers up to date) also i formatted my laptop 2 times, then installed all new drivers.

So, it only happens when you enable G-sync? Not if you don't? 

 

There have been a lot of changes in Windows 10 recently relating to how it handles graphics, and they are even more complex when applied to laptops presumably still having iGPU enabled. In Windows graphics properties somewhere, try playing with the settings for allowing GPU to manage its own VRAM (on or off), a setting saying to prefer high performance GPU, or other settings if they exist regarding G-sync.

That is not screen tearing. Looks like a defective panel to me.

when I disable G-Sync, problem is gone. But I want to use G-SYNC, 3 months ago, it worked well.

Yes. whenever i disable it is gone. but with G-Sync screen starts like flickering, I also don't know what is the name of this problem. In all games, the top of screen is rendering at the bottom.

2 years ago I bought this laptop. everything worked perfect, but last three months this problem occured. whenever I disable Gsync feature it is gone.

This certainly isn't screen tearing. Given it seems like a cut reflection of the scene above it, it has to be some sort of driver bug.

first time , yes  I thought it is kind of driver problem, I rolled back drivers also, in the offical page of nvidia,  installed oldest drivers, still the same problem remains, didn't find any solution in the google. also I created post in the rededit, they also don't know what is this.

Have you tried playing with the settings I mentioned earlier relating to Windows? Windows has changed significantly in recent months also. My laptop doesn't have G-sync but it started to run all games on iGPU until I played with settings. I'm wondering if something similar might be happening here, with the Windows chosen settings giving problems that weren't there while it was still under nvidia's control. Also I'd assume your laptop still has the iGPU enabled, also update the Intel GPU drivers if you haven't already.

also it is my intel drivers. it is up to date

This is only a guess, but try the following Windows settings (not nvidia ones):

Display Settings > Graphics Settings > Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling (try flipping this to the opposite of current setting)

Windows Settings > Gaming > Game Mode > Game Mode (try flipping this to the opposite of current setting)

 

Do them one at a time so you can see if it made a difference. Otherwise I guess I'm out of ideas.

did it now. but it is the same, all the settings you said was off, now enabled it. still same, thank u anyway  maybe it is hardware issue, I don't know.

Try uninstalling the graphics driver with DDU, here's the steps if you don't know how:

- Install DDU.

- Reboot into safe mode, ( check this out if you don't know how to )

- Launch DDU and uninstall the nvidia driver.

- Reboot again.

- Install the latest driver.

Check this Youtube video to see more on how to do it.

as I said bro, I formatted pc 7 hours ago, everything was gone, updated drivers, I think format is the same with the DDU, still same problem.

Oh sorry, I didn't see that you formatted the system, my bad.
Maybe try posting your problem on Asus's forum, maybe some of the staff or moderators there might have a solution.

It might be like he said, but ask on the Asus forum first and see what people have to say there.
