980Ti to 1080/Ti upgrade?

Dyepoy

The title says it all. Which one should I choose?

I have a 980ti and I really want to upgrade but things didn't turn out well with 3000 series cards prices.

There's a seller online of used cards.

1080 FE for $200 and MSI 1080ti Gaming X  for $300.

My 980ti is a reference model which heats up to its max temp (83c) and I'm thinking of skipping the 1080fe for the same reason.

Is the 1080ti worth the additional $100 or get the 1080 instead? I only play on 1080p60. Thanks for the help!

I'm hitting 60fps in most games. And then there's cyberpunk. I only reach 30 to 35 fps at most times using the optimized settings.

I went 980Ti to 1080Ti and that made quite a jump. Given it is Cyberpunk, how does it run on lower end RTX cards? I haven't compared benchmarks but where does a 2060 or 2070 fall?

Gaming system: R7 7800X3D, Asus ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming Wifi, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB, Corsair Vengeance 2x 32GB 6000C30, RTX 4070, MSI MPG A850G, Fractal Design North, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, Acer Predator XB241YU 24" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync + HP LP2475w 24" 1200p 60Hz wide gamut
Productivity system: i9-7980XE, Asus X299 TUF mark 2, Noctua D15, 64GB ram (mixed), RTX 3070, NZXT E850, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, random 1080p + 720p displays.
Gaming laptop: Lenovo Legion 5, 5800H, RTX 3070, Kingston DDR4 3200C22 2x16GB 2Rx8, Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB + Crucial P1 1TB SSD, 165 Hz IPS 1080p G-Sync Compatible

2070 is around between 1080 and 1080ti.

Thanks for answering everyone. I'll sell my 980ti for 180 and buy the 1080ti for 300. :)
