Amazon is probably making a game console, and today we've got a better idea of what that console's controller looks like thanks to Dave Zatz and the Brazilian FCC. The standards are all there: two offset, concave analog sticks; four buttons (A/B/X/Y) on the right front; a d-pad in the lower left; and triggers/shoulder buttons around back/up top. What's weird about this particular controller, however, are the other buttons. A slew of media controls sit at the bottom (play, fast-forward, rewind), and in the middle there are four buttons: Home, Back, Menu... wait a minute! These are Android buttons! Either Amazon's building a controller for Android or the console it's making is Android-based

P.S:Dont we have enough consoles already?

Eh.......

Another console, unless Amazon make their consoles a lot cheaper then their competition they will have no chance of making a big profit margin.

That controller is just another generic Xbox controller, only difference are the media buttons on the bottom.

I'd have to guess it's future Kindle stuff to compete better with tablets. Not really a bad idea.

Edit: And this explains why Google bought up that controller manufacturer or w/e the other day. They may be worried about Amazon doing that/wanting to do it themselves.

With all the microprocessor advancements this past and upcoming year, I'd have to say that gaming on a tablet instead of a console might be really appealing to casual people, and probably cheaper. And another hint to it might be the fact that the controller has media buttons on it. It's indicative of being a media controller as well as obviously for games, which supports my Kindle suggestion. Seeing as it's quite slim, I can't see how you couldn't carry that around in a bag or something and whip it out when you wanted to play a game or watch a movie when traveling.

And I thought the original xbox controller (Duke) was huge, this thing looks huge and not very ergonomic at all.

Intel 2500K @ 5GHz,Corsair H100i, MSI Z68 GD65, GTX 970 STRIX, 16GB G Skill Sniper, Seasonic X750, 250 GB Samsung 840pro SSDs in Raid 0, Corsair 650D.

The d-pad and the central smaller buttons are reminiscent of the ones on the Xbox One controller and the analog sticks look nearly identical to those on the Xbox 360 controller.  Overall, I don't think it's a bad design.  The only thing that concerns me is the angular design of the handles (I don't know what else to call them haha), but I'll need to actually hold one before I make any judgements/conclusions.

I bet their new console is going to be like the kindle fire. Heavily integrated with amazon, good specs, but bareley any support, and you are better off getting an ipad or android if you want a tablet

(kindle's are good for reading tho, no hate)
