I have low fps but my clock speed is fine.

YoPaalavaan

Hi, I use a laptop and I've been having this problem where my clock speed is about 3.00GHz+ when I'm playing a game which I believe is enough yet my fps is still low when I play the game. I have a i5-1035G1 CPU @ 1.00GHz and my laptop is turbo boosted so it overcomes that. My fps is still low though on games, any solutions? Thanks. Also, if you could dumb the solution down so I could understand that'd be great, I'm not so great with "techy-type" things!

Probably because you don't have GPU? Try lowering resolution and graphics settings.

I don't have a GPU, I didn't think that would matter, what do they even do??

I use integrated graphics.

Render graphics. Integrated work, but you can't expect same performance. So lower resolution and graphics settings to gain more fps.

Well there is your problem. Those are meant for office work, webbrowsing, basic 3d acceleration and some very light games (like league of legends, minecraft,...). If you try to run anything intensive on it lets say battlefield 4 which is a old game then it will have to be run all low settings at most likely 720p to have a chance at getting 60fps.

You got a office laptop with office laptop specs so yeah you are never going to be playing any new AAA games on it at best 720p lowest settings and hope you get above 30fps.

You should have asked for buying advice if you don't know what it does. It basically just produces everything you see on screen. Intel hd graphics are good enough for all basic tasks and light games but more complex games need FAR FAR better gpu's to run and yours is not at all up to the task for that.
