You can bring any game to the PC, but...

Camul

I'm bored, so gonna make a dumb thread.

The deal is that you can have any game come to the PC in perfect working order, however in order to do it you're put into a sealed room that slowly fills up with water. You'll be in there for 1 hour before the room fills with water, and then you drown. After that you wake up back in your own bed and you get the game added to your Steam library, or however you would prefer it. I should note that you don't have any damage done to you through the drowning, but you just have to experience it.

Would you do it and what game(s) would you bring to the PC?

GTA V and the modding community with it. Has to be extremely well optimized as well.

The games work perfectly. I would do it just for this, and to get Saint's Row 2 and 1 on the PC. Also, maybe the Pokemon games too, just so I could get Steam achievements for them. Soo many games, so much drowning. :D

I have Saints Row 2 on my PC... (It's not optimized the greatest, but it's plenty playable and on steam. :P )

Oh yea, to answer the OP, no I wouldn't as I am not that worked up about any games to drown for myself..

I have it on PC (SR2), but from what I remember it was a terrible port. Shame since it was a really good game and the best in the series.

I played it with mouse and keyboard back when I got it off the Humble Bundle during the summer & worked fine. I mean it wasn't the best thing ever, but it played like 3 does.

I am going to answer no. Just in case you are a fairly well known character that Wants to play a game... And you are looking for willing subjects..

I only tried playing it with a controller, I remember that both shoot and accelerate were the same button, so every time you drove you wasted all of your ammo. :D

no, I nearly drowned in real life and it was one of the most traumatic experiences I had. Its fucking terrible, especially when I was about 6 and could hardly swim

I wouldn't do this, I don't need more PC games so badly that i'm willing to suffer physical pain for it.

Interesting, I'm pretty fascinated by it, and from reading stories it actually seems a fairly pleasant and peaceful way to go if you're calm when it happens. It's when you panic and keep going under and resurfacing then it become horrific.

If I didn't suffer any damage from it, hell yeah I would do it. I would do it if it was just for the drowning, just to try it. It sounds sexy. :D

So basically the question is are we willing to risk potential emotional scarring to have a console game that we fancy transferred to PC in perfect working order?

Mmm, well, it is calm until I couldn't hold my breath, then. well i freaked out and that's when someone saw me. I tried to breathe in water.... not an experience I would have again.

yep, exactly the same. Hate it more than anything else. Even though I can hold my breath for a long time, still just freaks me the fuck out.

Well, I'm already "emotionally scarred" if that's what you'd call it. Plus, it's something that I really want to experience, I definitely intend to go out that way.

Did you actually get a lung full of water? Don't have to answer if you don't want to, but it's something I'm really fascinated with if that explains all of the weird questions.

That's an odd thing to want, when I go I want it to be quick. No fuss no thrashing no fight or flight nonsense and no drama just gone in the blink of an eye.

Yes.  It's a really weird sensation when you just don't have any air. Frightening, but weird.  Then you of course cough it up and try and take in more air, and for me, it was just that cycle for about two times, then I got pulled up.
