Can I delete these files from Windows?

Joshcanread

I have shared a folder on the network and when I remotely access it I can see this. Can I delete "System Volume Information" and "$RECYLCE>BIN"?

But on Windows WITH show hidden items on it just looks like this

You can but windows will just make these folders again the moment you plug the drive in

My bad didn't read the network part but basically same thing windows will get mad at you and just remake them or temporarily break the network share.

You can delete System Volume Information but Windows will simply recreate it again. As for Recycle Bin, it serves as a temporary location when files are deleted so you can restore them from the Recycle Bin and no, you cannot delete it.

Just share the folder(s) that you need instead of the entire drive then you will not see this.
