Silverstone dust filter over PSU Intake?

Go to solution Solved by HannahLewis,

You should be completely fine as long as you clean the filters regularly.

I'm using the Corsair RM750X inside my Phanteks P300A case, with the fan drawing air through the grille on the bottom. I got one of those Silverstone magnetic dust filters and trimmed the magnetic frame down so it can slide into the case's dust filter bracket under the PSU intake (the one that came with the case wasn't going to catch any much dust I can tell ya that for nothing).

My only question is, even though as a dust filter those ones are very breathable and very effective, is it going to restrict airflow to the PSU too much? Or will the PSU just increase its fan speed with temperature (I thought it only did it by wattage but I might be wrong)? My room is quite dusty so I make extensive use of those silverstone filters to catch dust and I clean them all regularly, so it's not like there will be much buildup on the filter itself.

Interested to hear your opinions on whether I should have the filter there. Don't want my PSU to overheat.
