$150 monitor for kid

My nephew wants a new monitor so he can have a 2 monitor setup like me. My budget is $150. I don't know monitor tech all that well, so I figured I'd ask here. This new monitor will be his main.

why not an identical monitor as the current one. so the setup looks symmetrical

If anyone has better recommendations let me know. 

Why IPS? If it's for playing games like shooter games you need a TN monitor if not then its ok!

His current one is a really cheap bargain monitor and its bad quality is very noticeable.
