Help installing Silverstone KR02 on a LGA 1200

Jayliss

Hey all,

I'm trying to install a KR02 CPU cooler on my motherboard but can't seem to get it to fit. Do I need custom mounting brackets?

Any help would be appreciated.

Specs...

CPU Cooler: SilverStone SST-KR02 Krypton 92mm CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte B460 HD3 LGA1200 B460 Chipset ATX Motherboard ATX,

Thanks in advance.

Checked it but it doesn't show anything regarding the LGA 1200 socket but it does say that it's compatible online.

The top bracket is adjustable. Adjusted it so it can fit trough the bottom of the mobo but as you can see it doesn't line up.

Use the holes closer towards the center for 1200. The ones currently being used are for 1366.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

Hi
I also have a problem and part of the processor is not under the heat sink and the processor suffers from a thermal bottleneck. Can you help me with this? How did you adjust the brackets to fit the 1200 socket? It would be great if you could teach me with a photo.
