1cm is unusually thick. Where did you get that number from? I didn't see that listed anywhere. So, realistically, you're probably looking at half, if not less than that for weight. It would only take maybe 6 people to lift that, so not hard at all. Welding gear, while not light, can easily be rolled around. The problems you're talking about really aren't that complicated to overcome.

Easy maths, it’s also not that thick, whenever I’ve moved plates of steel that are built well enough to hold a person without bending they’ve been around that thick.
