Need final Pcpp list look over

Letgomyleghoe.

Budget (including currency): 2500 us after tax

Country: We the people of the United States...

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Nothing really specific other than I use cad sometimes and play games.

Other details: I need everything other than a chair and a desk.

Other things that aren't on the list that i'm buying

Spoiler

Keyboard: Building custom keeb for about 250

Headphones: Buying the pc38x for                150

Buying a gmk spirit mouse mat for                 20

Mouse:  model d- for                                              50

Buying this from micro center so                    -55

 Buying a renewed rm850 so                            -20

Total: $395

So after taxes this is about $55 overpriced but I think I can scrape that from somewhere so other than that how does the build look like?

You can bring the power supply down to 750, or even 650

I would prefer slightly slower memory with lower CAS

rest seems fine

Only thing that comes to mind for me is you might want 32GB RAM and that for the budget of 2.5K a 5900X would be a much better fit.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

How to setup MSI Afterburner OSD | How to make your AMD Radeon GPU more efficient with Radeon Chill | (Probably) Why LMG Merch shipping to the EU is expensive

Oneplus 6 (Early 2023 to present) | HP Envy 15" x360 R7 5700U (Mid 2021 to present) | Steam Deck (Late 2022 to present)

Mid 2023 AlTech Desktop Refresh - AMD R7 5800X (Mid 2023), XFX Radeon RX 6700XT MBA (Mid 2021), MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon (Early 2018), 32GB DDR4-3200 (16GB x2) (Mid 2022

Noctua NH-D15 (Early 2021), Corsair MP510 1.92TB NVMe SSD (Mid 2020), beQuiet Pure Wings 2 140mm x2 & 120mm x1 (Mid 2023),

Yea I agree on the ram one, I would reccommend crucial's ballistix memory. Also, just get a h510 or something cheaper, and spend the extra on actually buy a cpu, like why the hell is there no price on it, ya missed that bud. just dont get as good of a monitor and actually get a cpu.

I could but good 650/750 power supplies are about 100 dollars which is about the price of the rm850 renewed

I'm trying out memory overclocking so i'll be doing this myself but thanks for the feedback

Well this a 1.5k pc build with 1k for everything else so unless I dropped everything else I couldn't really that into my budget well the feedback was welcome

Why no only stock cpu cooler?

Why an 850W psu? 650W should be more than enough. The RM line should not be confused with and is not as good as Corsair's RMX line.

The case is a bit expensive, especially since there is very little lighting and no liquid cooling contemplated.

There is little benefit to spending so much on fast memory. The performance improvement in most games is not noticeable.

I plan on doing a custom loop in the future which is why I picked the 011. Also a 5600x will preform about the same as a 5800/900/950x in games as most engines probably don't even scale past 4 cores very well so I don't see the point of going past a 5600x especially at 1440p. About the monitor I always felt like you should invest into your monitor but if you have a specific reason of why I shouldn't entertain me but I still appreciate the feedback.

1. The 5600x comes with a stock cooler and if need to be i'll under clock it a bit

2. Main reason for getting the memory is I wanna try out memory overclokcing which is also why I chose the b550 steel legend as it is the cheapest board with a post code.

3. Why not go with the 850w power supply? Its around the same price as a 650w and sure it a little worse than an rmx but as far as I read its a pretty small downgrade. Edit: looks like this was some special deal thing or something but now it costs $200 so yeah a 650w supply sounds just fine. Thanks for the feedback

4. Should've mentioned that I want to do a custom water loop in the future which is why I chose the dynamic my bad

Good to see that you are considering a custom cooling loop. The PC-11 is a nice case for that.

With a 3070, you’ll see a difference between a 5600X and a 5800X or 5900X.

New games are being designed with 8 cores in mind because the new consoles have 8 Zen2 cores.

If you can stretch to any of the R7 or R9 CPUs that would make this PC last a lot longer for what you want it to do.

I understand that the 5800X and 5900X are expensive but those are the core counts that games are using.

A 5600X has little to no future beyond current titles.

I use a 1700X. The 1600 has maybe a year left of AAA gaming. The same will be true for 3600 and 5600X, it’ll last many many years for eSports gaming but AAA gaming is again 1 year left.

Battlefield and other games now need at least a 6 core to run okay with an 8 core doing good and a 12 core being ideal.

This is interesting but a at the current price point of the 5800x I don't think its feasible for me. But i've got time so maybe later once some "next gen" games come out and I see that they scale well at 8 cores and a 5700x comes out then I can maybe justify the jump.
