Thoughts on the Team Radeon Newsletter Early Purchase Alert Links?

Some "Team Radeon" Newsletter subscribers received the following email before 8 am CST, I received this email at 7:39 AM CST, I have been subscribed to the newsletter for a few years now.

What are your thoughts on this, essentially they gave "fans" a chance to buy before the public, I was able to place in cart at 7:40 and kept on refreshing until 7:42 as it became out of stock.


Can AMD claim that this was not a paper launch, and that they let fans get it first? Does Andre get ten whole buckaroos? five?

 

(AMD fanboi here, was gonna scoop one up but decided on a quest 2 and kinda regret it :))
