Keyboard not working after firmware update

dylanthompson2

I have been having some issues with my Corsair K55 Keyboard with the RGB freezing up and other functions not working. I contacted support on Monday and they told me to update the firmware and now it is not working at all.

@Corsair NickMight be able to help you out with this. If he doesn't reply in a day or two, we can try and tag another Corsair member and try to have this issue resolved.

Right well, then you're on the right track. You get to wait for now.

While you wait, try and flash the older firmware back on if it's possible.

Is it possible for you to tell me how to do that. It wont do anything when I plug it in and it doesn't show up in iCUE anymore and Windows doesn't detect anything.

You'll want to plug in another keyboard, then try the firmware update with both boards plugged in.

Try using the bios mode search "K55 bios mode" and follow the steps hopefully that will allow you to use it and then re flash. Also I think their is a reset procedure that might be worth trying.

Showing up? You mean you can't see it in Device Manager?

Try it in another PC (any). If it doesn't show up then, warranty the keyboard.

Try resetting the keyboard with the following method:

  1. Unplug your keyboard.
  2. Hold down the FN and F4 keys and plug your keyboard back into your computer.
  3. Release the FN and F4 keys after 10 seconds. The keyboard should flash at this point.
  4. Open iCUE and update the firmware of your keyboard.
    • Ignore any incompatibility warnings that pop up.

If this doesn't work, you'll need to have the keyboard replaced through our RMA team.  You can PM me your ticket number and I'll follow up with them if they haven't already responded to you.
