HDMI and DisplayPort usable at the same time?

DisplayPort for life

So recently I was shopping for monitors, until I realised: “Can I use the DisplayPort for connecting the pc tower to monitor, and use the other hdmi  to connect a Nintendo switch, so when I plug the Nintendo into the hdmi in on the display, the Nintendo switch will appear on windows 10? Also, if it works, can I use this method as a cheap way to record Nintendo switch in my pc?”

Basically I am asking if you can play on your Nintendo switch with the monitor, with it running on windows 10 at the same time, making it possible to record the gameplay through windows game bar?

A graphics card doesn't have a video input, just a video output unfortunately.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Yes for the connection, but no for the recording.

To record you must have a HDMI capture card attached to the PC and you plug in the switch with it.

So it must go the the PC first, then PC to monitor.
