Is Be Quiet 400W PSU enough for GTX 1660 super

I have:

Ryzen 3 3100 stock cooler

Corsair vengance Lpx 2×8GB 3200Hz

MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX

CRUCIAL BX500 250GB

be Quiet! PC Power Supply ATX 400W System Power 9 

and i am planning to buy MSI ventus 1660 super. Yes, my PSU has 8 pin connector.

I am wondering will my components get damaged if i use 400w psu or simpliy wont boot up.

your components will draw close to 250 watts while gaming, or less. Maximum load might be close to 300 watts if you really push your system.

I was concerned bc on Msi site it says recommended is 450W and i contact one of the sellers and they told me it is better to get 500W PSU.

Power supplies are almost universally over estimated by retailers.

 

It makes sense since it's worse if they sell you something that's too little, to cover their bases they overestimate.
