GPU upgrade help

Hey all,

 

This is my first time posting so bare with me please. I have been watching all the gpu hype closely the last couple months. I've been seriously considering upgrading to a new gpu. I didn't know very about gpus when I built my computer a couple years ago. So at the time I got a quadro k2000. My initial intent was to us the computer for parametric modeling and some blender work for 3d printing. I've slowly moved my gaming over from console to my computer but the k2000 as you might have guessed is terrible for gaming. My monitors are 1080p res and I don't plan on upgrading those for another year or so. So here is my dilemma, should I wait and try to get an RTX 3000 series or RX 6000? Or should I just go with a cheaper option like RX 5700 or RTX 2060? I still plan on using my modeling software for "lighter" loads, but I really want to do some gaming as well. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance, my build specs are below.

Intel Core i7-8700k (air cooled)

Patriot 4x8GB 3000mhz

Quadro k2000

Crucial 500gb sata ssd

WD Blue 1tb HDD

EVGA 550w psu

I would get a used 20 series card. that 550w psu concerns me a little if you got any overclocks goin for you.
