Looks like the forum stylesheet prefers Roboto, then Helvetica Neue. then Helvetica. Makes sense; they're all reasonably similar simple-looking rounded sans-serif fonts.

However, the problem is that Windows users get thrown all the way back to Arial - the next font on the list - which is... suboptimal.

So I request two changes:

  1. Could linustechtips.com host the Roboto font files and embed it in the site, so that most browsers see the correct font?
  2. Could Arial Nova - an Arial variant which is closer to Helvetica Neue - be added to the stylesheet before Arial, considering it seems to come by default on Windows systems now?

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

Test

What font is this? I haven't changed it, just started typing. Windows 10 LTSB 1607 Firefox 82.0.2 (64-bit). It seems pretty standard to me, like it always has been.

See, Roboto is underlined.

Welp, maybe I downloaded it like a few months ago and forgot I did.

I've been considering it, but given the number of people who complained when we switched it to Inter am am a bit cautious about changing it again without being sure that it's not going to cause more issues.
