Posted November 4, 2020 Yes your Motherboard supports Nvme drives, but it's only connected via a PCIe 3.0 link. The drives you want to buy are more expensive PCIe 4.0 drives, that will only run at the slower 3.0 speed of your Motherboard. It works, but it's pretty wasteful to buy 4.0 drives for a 3.0 Motherboard.

I heard that even if they are nvme they will work in regular m.2 slots. I don't know much about this topic.
 Posted November 4, 2020 Why you have gen4 ssd when the board only support gen3. It will work tho, but the price is very expensive. such a waste. Posted November 5, 2020 Also, check the model of those Gigabyte SSDs. They have a SKU with no heat sync & another with the 70g copper heat sync which is more expensive. If you're planning to use the built-in heat sync on your motherboard, there's no point in paying for a bunch of extra copper.
