Good day,

I own both an RX570 and a GTX 1070. A couple weeks ago, I tried using them both at  the same time and while the system did boot, the led on the RX570 flashed for a brief second and never came back on. I have tried using the card in a different PC and it still won't power on. Is it possible that trying to use both cards at the same time could have killed it? Thanks for any assistance.

PC Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 2600
Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk
Ram: 16GB G.Skill Tridentz RGB@ 3200MHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070
PSU: EVGA SuperNova G3 550W
Storage: Crucial MX500 500GB SSD
OS: Windows 10 v1903

Welcome to the forums.

What do you mean you tried using them both at the same time?
Having both of them in the system and plugged in is a perfectly normal thing, provided you have the PSU power to run them...550 W is a bit of a stretch though.

Have you done any modding or anything similar?

Well at the time, I had 2 monitors, to I plugged each card one to a monitor and then powered the system on and that was the result. I haven't done any hardware or software modding to any of the cards.

No. It should not be possible for those two cards being in your machine at the same time to actually harm anything. The PCIe interface has standards which should prevent the cards for interacting in any way that could damage one another. The caveat to this is that is assuming everything was installed and connected properly. If you were using some kind of splitter for the PCIe power connector or something then you are into a different story.
