5800x or 5900x

So I'm planning on getting a new ryzen cpu to accompany my 3070 and can't decide on whether i should go for the 5800x or 5900x. The price difference isn't too much but I honestly won't be doing too much on my pc other than gaming and maybe some light editing in premiere. I also tend to multitask a lot like having a stream open on another monitor while gaming and things of that nature, I'm also looking for something that'll hopefully last me a long time before feeling like i have to upgrade anytime soon so I'm hoping 8 cores would be enough over the next few years or maybe it'll be worth paying extra for 12, I really don't know.

Well if you plan to stream and game at the same time, also video editing the 5900x would be a better buy for future proofing, although the 5800x with do just fine, but games will start getting optimized for 8 cores soon (due to Xbox series X and PS5)

Right...but being optimized for 8 cores doesn't mean you need more ;)

You can't state worth of something that doesn't exist yet.

Just wanna correct something, I didn't mean that i was streaming but that i watch streams/videos in other tabs while gaming. I also kinda wanna base my purchase not on what's ok for right now, but potentially the future too
