Hey guys,

May I ask you, my computer has been recently doing this sound (recording attached) whenever I turn it on for the first time in the morning. After having it on for a while, turning off the computer, turning the surge suppresor with sockets off and on and later turning the computer on, it suddenly stops making this noise. Do you guys have any suggestions of what may be the cause of this problem?

Thanks in advance and have a nice rest of the day,

Vašek

It could be coil whine but I doubt it. Try a different surge protector (Try it with none at all) It sounds like a fan with a bad bearing but has a different tone to it.

agreed sounds like a spinny thing dying. Coil whine tends to stick to higher pitches
