Dead battery limiting performances?

Hi. I just got a Alienware m17x R4 from a friend. I installed windows, my drivers and all my apps, but the performances are terrible. The gmes use the integrated graphics no matter if I run them on the dGpu. I had to deactivate the iGpu in the driver to run them on the GPU! But the clock is limited to 135 and the performances are worst than the iGPU. I tried blender with the CPU just for fun. It use all my threads, but only at 50%! And instead of running at 2.3 Ghz, the CPU is running at 1.2 Ghz! Is it because the battery is dead? if so, what can I do to fix this?
