CPU cooling? HELP

Go to solution Solved by Blecter,

What are the big draw backs of that 212 evo?

Anything that could be crippling or is it of solid build quality and worth the purchase cause that price is wonderful if it is good.

My only concern is good build quality and will work.

The 212 Evo is solid and works excellent. I've got it set up with the fan that comes with it, and my i5-4670k @ 4.4GHz stays around 45C (+/-5C) while gaming heavily/using real world applications, and around 65C when stress testing. No complaints, and would easily recommend it, especially for the low cost.

Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

What are your system specs?

I'm going to be going on Newegg and don't really want to go much over $100 max

But the lower the better.

I'm really looking for price to performance.

then if your case can support it get a h100 also if you want people to get back to you use the quote button it gives us a message rather then having to come back

212 EVO... its a big sucker, but the thing works wonders and will give you the best price to performance at an inexpensive price point.  Just make sure it will fit inside your case.

I would rather a lower air price like 50-90 for good air cooling and it have to fit the LGA 1150 socket for the haswell i7 4770k
