Is seasonic core-gc better than Xilence XP600R?

dens22

So, I upgraded my psu recently from Xilence XP600R to Seasonic Core GC-650. Did I just dodged a psu failure, and saved my pc, or wasted my money?

Assuming that your previous PSU was a Xilence Performance C, you didn't waste your money at all. You had a low-end PSU with low durability components, and now you have a more than decent model which should work reliably for at least 7 years. I don't see the problem! Maybe you didn't save your PC in the sense that the Performance C didn't seem terrible enough to kill your components, but you made a good replacement anyway. Enjoy your new PSU ^^

While the Core is pretty low end, the XP600 is complete garbage.  So yeah.. you did an upgrade.

Should I be worried about that?

Since I don't know what you're using it to power, I can't answer.
