Asus Tuf X570-Pro Motherboard

Newb here getting ready to build first PC (if I can score a GPU before 2021).

It seems like this motherboard just came out and I cant find any reviews on it other than a newegg listing and the asus product page.

The Tom's hardware review said the while the Plus version claims 12+2 it's actually only 7 phase. Is this also the case with the new Pro?

Anybody have any links?

They seem to have the same vrm, the tuf plus does indeed have 14 sic639 50a dr mos (12 of those are for the vcore), but what asus does with their board, is that they run 2 mosfets together, meaning each phase has 2 stages, so yes it is a 7 phase (same with the pro) but there are 14 power stages, and 12 of those are for the vcore.

Budget for a board? location and currency? and what are you powering? the x570 tuf plus/pro (since it uses the same vrm) is quite a solid board.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

Location is Europe, Germany, currency is Euros, powering the new 5900X. I was considering the second newest board, the X570 MSI Tomahawk, but that one seems to have problems, like no SLI (8x 8x) and no CMOS.

Are you running dual gpu's? because the x570 tuf plus/pro do not have pcie switchers as well and what do you mean by no cmos? do you mean clear cmos?

But since i don't know your budget.

All of these boards (this including the x570 tomahawk and the tuf plus) are good and will easily handle the 5900x.

Edit: i just noticed, just wondering, why are you asking on another person's thread? i completely missed this.

My bad, I forgot to mention that I'm running a 3090 TUF along with it, so I need Pci gen 4 (I also don't mind the price anyway), so x570 for sure.

My question is, after going down the tier list and finding the Tomahawk and Tuf Plus/Pro, I also found the MSI MEG Unify, the Asrock Taichi, Asrock Phantom Gaming X and the Gigabyte Aorus Master which are only 60-100 euros more and DO have Clear CMOS and Pcie switchers.

Are there any things these boards are worse or better at compared to the 2 x570 boards you recommended apart from these having Clear CMOS and Pcie switchers?

First of all, why are you asking in another person's post??

Those are different boards, the tomahawk and the tuf are more than enough for any current am4 cpu, also they do have a clear cmos jumper, just not a button and b550 does have gen 4 for the lanes that are wired to the cpu.

Again, why are you asking in another person's post?

So it's not a big deal that it only has a jumper and not a button? I've done my research and the boards I mentioned all have 2 digit displays, SLI suppport and Clear CMOS, while the two you mentioned do not. Say I do want all 3 of those things, which ones of these would you recommend more? What's the difference? MSI MEG Unify, the Asrock Taichi, Asrock Phantom Gaming X or the Gigabyte Aorus Master? (They're all around the same price for me)

Strictly out of these, the unify.

But.

Interesting you would say the Unify is best, it happens to be the cheapest option here! I do wonder why you say that's the best board of the bunch, considering it's the cheapest of the ones I've mentioned?

According to the VRM list, The Gigabyte Aorus Master for example ranks 1 spot above the Unify, is it because you've taken price/value into consideration already? Or is there some feature about it more important than VRM you are basing this conclusion on?

The unify performs basically the same and is generally cheaper.

The master uses 12 sic639 and the unify has 12 ir3555 doubled with ir3599, the x570 tomahawk is still good.
