So I have an old norelco electric shaver that I used for years but battery has gone very bad.  Also, missing one of the three heads in it so figure i get a new electric razor.

First thing i notice was wow... i see some that are over two hundred dollars... don't recall that years ago.  But is this the norm?  Why do ppl need to buy these expensive electric razors?

Now i checked on amazon and i see a few popular norelco electric razors with lot of revews... one very cheap price that has lot of negative feedback it seems but still a good rating... seems hard to get much low ratings on amazon.  Another is like the same but a bit stronger?  Then another one which is decent price and water proof?  The other one seem to be same as second one but it has a stand to charge only?

I'm confused but why would the 50 dollar one has this many buyers and feedback compared to the 60 dollar one where it is waterproof.  i mean... isn't waterproof worth it for a bit more even if you don't really use it waterproof?

Sometimes it's just that they're better at cutting, or include perks like easy cleaning systems (just dropping your shaver in a receptacle, for example). No doubt they exist to pad profit margins, but you do get something more for the money.

Look at it this way: your shaver is one of the most important things you may own, as you and everyone else will notice how well it works. You don't have to drop $200, but it's worth spending extra if it provides a clean shave.

I've been using a Braun 5-series shaver and enjoy it, but it may be overkill for some.

I then noticed these two other electric razors that are cheap but have extremely good feedback like these.

Hatteker

30 dollars only

SweetLF

40 dollars

Now is there a reason that Hatteker is so cheap and has so much great feedback.  I read tons of reviews and very few negative feedback.  Thing that makes me want to buy this one is some ppl said it works as good as norelco and well all electric razors are similar.  And some ppl said they thought it was going to be some cheap electric razor but its very good.  Now what i notice was this razor and the other one and some of these cheap razors, they seem to usb charge as oppose to normal charge.  Anyone find this weird?

Now I don't grow much facial hair besides my moustache and chin.  Thus I can't grow a beard even though I'm in my mid thirties already.  Thus I probably will never grow a beard in my lifetime.  When I shave, sometimes I just shave it dry with my electric razor or sometimes put some cheap lotion on... then shave with it.  Thus a cheap electric razor would work since well I don't have much facial hair.

Now based on all this information, which electric razor should i get?  I do find it interesting all these cheaper nonbrand name razors seem to be all waterproof... but the cheaper norelco shavers are not.  Always get a waterproof one even if you don't plan to use it waterproof right?  Also... if an electric razor is not waterproof... does that mean you can't put lotion or cream on your face and use the shaver?  Thus it needs to be dry every single time?  If so, i find that annoying even for myself because there is some small pain when shaving with no lotion on even though I don't have much facial hair.

From looking at what I posted... seems best option is the 60 dollar norelco one which is waterproof?  I read one issue with it ... is you cannot use it while chargining... which i thought was weird but not big of a deal.  The other probably would be that cheap Hatteker that is 30 dollars?  I do like how it shows how many minutes are left.  I do notice that and the other nonbrand name is made in China though... so thoughts on this?  I heard of braun and remington but seems like the cheaper brands have lot of negative reviews?  Also. I like the three circle razors like norelco has... i find the other foil razors strange so I like to stick with the three circle razors.

I would pick up the S1211 and a set of spare blades, it'll last for years. usually swapping blades once a year is good enough for most depending on how coarse your hair is.

it won't be as strong of a motor and no waterproof but those don't really effect use unless you plan to shave in the shower or have iron hair needing the extra power, blade sharpness makes the most difference (if you can find ceramic get those)

The best gaming PC is the PC you like to game on, how you like to game on it

The  S1211 you mentioned... well that is the cheapest one of them all.  I read the motor is really weak... then again, i dont have much facial hair so it doesn't mean much.  But not being waterproof means you could still use it with some lotion on though?  I thought if it not waterproof... you had to do it dry without anything?

Well that would be like around same or similar price as that nonbrand name Hatteker though... so you wouldn't get that?  Again, that is a very cheap price and so much good reviews.  Curious if anyone here has used that one.

My beard doesn't look good either when I let it grow. It comes in a little patchy on the sides.

So I don't spend any money on shaving. One dollar shaving cream and I used to buy those Walmart house brand triple blade disposable razors.

All the electric razors I ever tried either didn't cut well at all or pulled the hair painfully right out of my face at times.

My father passed about fives years back and I inherited his single blade razor.

The kind you open by twisting the handle to load the blades.

That thing really is not that old but to me it's like an antique or something.

I just started using it this last year.

He had a bunch of boxes of the blades so I've been shaving almost for free. 😄

At first I didn't like it but I feel like hey I'd rather spend my money on fun stuff.

I might end up using that thing the rest of my life if the blades are cheap.
