computer CPU removal (efficient removal)

So I was upgrading my computers CPU and it wouldn't come out so I looked and there was a screw well I HAD to remove it so I took it out and It still WILL NOT come out so I pulled harder and still no so I pulled even harder and it came out and I looked at the bottom and NO PINS so I said fu** and I started taking the hard drive and this happens.

That sir is called an Intel chip with an LGA socket. A PGA socket does not hold onto the pins strong enough for someone to detach the pins from the CPU.

Are you sure you are using the correct terminology? How the hell did it go from changing a CPU to destroying a HDD?

I'm skeptical that he even destroyed a CPU. Pulling all of the pins off of a CPU? That's practically impossible. Even in the Socket 478 days that was unheard of. And those were notorious for gluing themselves to the heatsink which meant you often ripped the CPU out of the socket when removing the heatsink.

That's what I mean...I'm pretty flabbergasted as to how this "screw" issue escalated, but this is also amusing to watch the posts roll in. Time to get the popcorn!!!
