Who says that it will actually be available at that price? Retailers might still sell it at $399 or if they're unavailable, prices might be much higher.

If Gaming 5800X (higher single core performance) if Productivity the 3900X's 12 cores would make a difference.

5800X to juice the FPS out of your games. 12c 3900X if you're going to stream or record in high quality or you have tons of apps running and using in the same time as you game. Enjoy man!

Would the the 3900x perform similar to the 5800x with an overclock gaming wise?
