Will PS5 support monitors with 1440p resolution?

I don't have a 4K TV for next gen console gaming. But I'm buying a new 1440p monitor for PC gaming. So if PS5 supports that monitor with a 2560x1440 resolution, I wouldn't have to buy a very expensive 4K TV and I could use that monitor for both PC and console gaming! What do you think? 🤠

Don't see any reason why not? PS5 shouldn't be limited to only 4k

We don't know yet.

 

The PS4 Pro didn't support 1440p, it treated 1440p monitors like 1080p monitors.  So support can't be assumed.
