RTX 3080 Doesnt work :(

Received my 3080 today. no video out from any source. On boot, one long beep then 3 short ( Indicates GPU issue) Updated my drivers to latest version last night. Chip set, and bios up to date. System requirements all up to spec as per Nvidia spec. Spent an hour with Nvidia text customer support. Re seated card, no signal. Put 1080ti back in, works like always. Card powers up (fans spin leds light up), but no video signal. I would appreciate any suggestions to fix this as I am an end user wanting to game and bechmark, not scalp to put my kids through college..

My Rig

X570 Aorus Elite mobo ( bios and chipset up to date )

Ryzen 3900xt

32gb Trident Z Neo 3600mhz CL16

PSU Corsair RM750 gold

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Cosmic Origin, a little bummed.

Which specific card do you have, the FE? You're running two independent 8-pins to the card or the 12-pin adapter, not a daisy-chained single cable, right?

Sometimes you just get a bad card and have to RMA, sucks but it is what it is.

Current build: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, ASUS PRIME X570-Pro, EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra, G.Skill 2x16GB 3600C16 DDR4, Samsung 980 Pro 1TB, Sabrent Rocket 1TB, Corsair RM750x, Scythe Mugen 5 Rev. B, Phanteks Enthoo Pro M, LG 27GL83A-B

I think the card might have been doa, but like @FaxedForward said, is it 2 separate 8 pins if it takes 2 or 3 separate if it’s a 3x8

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Ahh good old not enabling CSM. My damn 550Ti wouldn't work without it enabled.

CSM is for legacy hardware. It is in the name "COMPATIBILITY Support Module"

You should not have to turn it on, unless they really rushed and screwed up the vBIOS in some ways. But if that was the case, I suspect YouTubers would report it.

Yeah, I wouldn't think so too but I recently played with a Radeon VII and it needed CSM.  It's the only reason I mention it.
