NZXT H510 USB C

random man who needs help

My USB C front panel port does not work. Before you tell me it's a seperate connector, I know. I have it on my B550 A PRO motherboard and it is plugged in but it still does not work. anyone know why that could be?

Open up Device Manager and see if any devices aren't installed. Also try removing and reconnecting the header when the computer is turned off.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

What do you mean if any devices aren't installed? And I've tried removing and reconnecting the header.

Does something along the lines of "external USB type c" come up?

I could use some help with this!

I can't find any USB drivers. I might be blind though, here's the link: https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B550-A-PRO#down-bios

try this one

https://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/mb/amd_chipset_drivers_am4_wt.zip

if not, you might have to RMA the board

I'm able to plug in and charge the phone but it constantly asks to allow access to the PC.

Edit: It's now showing up and I can move around files, but I still can't use the front port.

It asks if you want to allow access to photos and videos. standard iPhone stuff. No power or sign of life in the front.

can you try replugging it?

strip the panels, follow the wires from the port's PCB, inspect the soldering points/connectors on PCB, look for any defects

im not too sure if it's faulty motherboard or casing

or still missing drivers
