Graphic card upgrade is my old cpu enough?

Rexx

Hi, im thinking about upgrading my gpu to one of the new nvidia card either the 3070 or 3080. Then i want to know if my cpu will bottleneck my system while playing certain games? Right now i have an AMD RYZEN 3600

There may be some slight bottlenecking on CPU heavy games but you should be alright. How many watts is your PSU?

TLDR it's a 30% bottleneck at 1080p, 15% at 1440p  5% at 4k, doesn't mean u wont benefit from the gpu upgrade though., the 3080 is beast.

it also depends on what refresh rate ur monitor is.

Never said it was old, just asking if it could bottleneck my system.

As long as its a good PSU you should be ok. As far as the 3600, I say go for it unless you feel it's time to upgrade.

Maybe your grasp of English is better than mine, but I suspect that you didn't read the title of your own thread.

In any case, you should be fine in most use cases with your 3600 with a 3080.
