I currently own a i7 4790k with a Noctua DH-14 cooler (bought ~5years ago).

In the near future I plan to go for the i5 10600k. My question is, will the DH-14 suffice to cool this CPU?

I can't find much info on it since it's overshadowed by the DH-15, but i'm not sure if buying the DH-15 is worth it.

 

Perhaps someone could give me some advice what I could do.

Here is the list of Kits currently available. Not sure if you actually need one. I had to get one for my original NH-U12P tower to mount on AM4. Great to know that you can buy an expensive cooler like that and 10 years and many platforms later it still has value. In my case it is a single tower with only 4 heatpipes, still plenty powerful enough for my needs though.

D14 was and is a badass cooler, it will handle it.

Theres not much difference between a D14 and D15.

Gah. Intel cannot use the same socket for more than one generation, but the fan mounting and retention system just stays the same forever...
