All ull need do is contact Noctua for the new mounting bracket.

LGA 1200 and 115x use the same mounting. There's no need for new mounting hardware.

I currently own a i7 4790k with a Noctua DH-14 cooler (bought ~5years ago).

In the near future I plan to go for the i5 10600k. My question is, will the DH-14 suffice to cool this CPU?

I can't find much info on it since it's overshadowed by the DH-15, but i'm not sure if buying the DH-15 is worth it.

Perhaps someone could give me some advice what I could do.

the DH-14 will definitely be able to keep a 10600K under control by quiet some margin.

Yes it will, get the upgrade Kit from Noctua and you should be good to go.

What upgrade kit are you referring to?

But good to know my DH-14 is re-useable!

Here is the list of Kits currently available. Not sure if you actually need one. I had to get one for my original NH-U12P tower to mount on AM4. Great to know that you can buy an expensive cooler like that and 10 years and many platforms later it still has value. In my case it is a single tower with only 4 heatpipes, still plenty powerful enough for my needs though.

LGA 1200 and 115x use the same mounting. There's no need for new mounting hardware.

Gah. Intel cannot use the same socket for more than one generation, but the fan mounting and retention system just stays the same forever...
