Okay guys I realise you might be thinking "Apple Store prank?" Well I just thought of it just now and thought it'd be pretty hilarious to do. Okay so here it is:

At night you somehow sneak into your local Apple store and equipped with an ISO image of Windows 8.1 and several Windows 8.1 genuine product keys, you install Windows 8.1 via Bootcamp on every single Apple computer in the store and get them all set up and running perfectly and make it so that every computer boots into Windows ready for the prank to unfold.

The next day the Apple Store opens and the manager of the store boots up the first Apple computer and sees the Windows 8.1 start up logo and saids "What the heck?". And proceeds to turn on every single desktop and laptop in the store only to realise that every computer has Windows running on it.

People start to pile up outside the Apple Store only to be turned away with the reason, given by the manager, "We're having technical problems".

Now I know this may not be so hilarious to some but I think that'd be pretty interesting to watch.

What do you guys think about this?

Hypothetical yet stupid because Apple will sue the living hell out of you :P.

Edit: Yes it would be hillarious to see Apple heard their iSheeps away from their pen.

Why not install it over OSX? It should work on the hardware. :P This is also probably illegal...

Hence the reason the title saids "hypothetical". I wouldn't actually do it. I don't wanna be locked up. :P

Let's all get a gathering a day before doing something like this where there's like 50 of us and we just flood an Apple store and load Windows on EVERYTHING.

Probably? You would be breaking into the store in the middle of the night.

Nobody said you had to do it while they were closed... :D

Floors should do the trick.

To make this even more ridiculous I own a MacBook Air (2012). I do like OS X. But when it comes to video editing, Windows wins out by far. :D

I could just see someone walking around with their usb drive imaging all the laptops in full daylight, meanwhile all the blue shirts are talking way to people who can't get emails on their new phones.

Breaking the phones, now if that doesn't add another 10 years to your sentence I don't know what will.

Cheaper hardware and same programs, why use OSX for it??

The MBA is basically just a media consumer. I just browse the web, use iMessage on there when I want a proper keyboard to type on. But most of the time I use my desktop PC, hence the reason why I wanna build a new one soon. :D

Never said to throw them against the floor. I think it'd be hilarious to superglue an ipod to a floor because I've done it to a friend. You can't get them off easily.

Sounds as though you're a bit of a prankster yourself. Nice! :P

I'd love to see it happen but I think you need an administrator password to make bootcamp start installing Windows. Don't quite know if that's true though. Maybe you could drug the manager to make them tell you?? >:)

I too have a MacBook and I'm glad I don't have to use it anymore. I actually really found the OS practical, but there are no games for it and it's locked down pretty badly. That's why I love my new PC! :D

Hmm, I kinda have to agree with you. To be perfectly honest I could probably sell my MBA because I haven't used it for goodness knows how long because I have an iPad 4 which I use pretty much every day (in fact probably too much) and so the need for a laptop isn't really there, unless of course I install Windows on it and use my video editor of choice, Sony Vegas, on it who knows.

Hmm, nice build you got there. When did you build it?

Haha thank you! I built it on the 20th of February I think... It's been great so far! The R9 280X I ordered is still waiting to be delivered though, it's in super short supply because of coin mining :/ But I'm holding out for it because I got it at a bargain price!

Haha, I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of the Narnia series but I've seen all the movies, but not read the books. Hm, I didn't know that!

The name just came to mind when I needed a new display name (Technodude was kinda boring). Tom is my real name so I thought it would be nice to adapt Mr Tumnus, because it sounded cool :P
