If I want more performance (fps) Which gpu should I go for?

I currently have a 1080p 144hz monitor. BUT I will be upgrading to 1440p/144hz in upcoming months.

 

Which gpu will run faster on 1080p or 1440p?

 

RTX 3080 OR RTX 3070?

 

I'm also getting the new ryzen stuff when it comes out.

 

 I dont care about quality, I care about max fps.

im sorry but this is the most weird question ever. obviously the 3080 is a gonna be better in both 1080p/1440p its an overall better card

on 1080p low, you'll be CPU bound in almost every game on either GPU, so no diff there

 

but for 1440p low, idk, but probably the same conclusion tbh.

Idk why you want a 1440p display or a better GPU if you don't care about quality though. At 1080p low most GPUs these days and even last-gen ones will easily deliver 144 fps in most modern titles.
