So, if you buy an Ampere GPU from Nvidea you will get 1 year of Gforce Now and Watchdogs Legion, but what if you buy a 3rd party card from another retailer? Do you still get those perks or not as if you don't, I think it makes waiting for AMD far more bearable.

But then you gotta ask yourself, what do you gain from getting a year of GeForce Now with your purchase of an expensive GPU? I guess it'll allow you to game outside of the house... but wouldn't you want to allot more time gaming on your new expensive setup anyways?

Well that's true, barring Gforce now then, getting Watchdogs Legion is most certainly the most attractive thing. It's a full priced AAA game of a series I enjoy with DLSS and ray tracing! That's like £50 off your GPU in a way.

Geforce Now could be useful, if you find yourself spending an hour or more frequently when e.g. commuting to work or school, or if you're going on a vacation and ain't got a gaming-worthy laptop, though.

Personally, I have no use for Geforce Now and I have zero interest in that Watchdogs - game, either.

What don't you find appealing about the Watchdogs game?

I actually didn't finish the first Watchdogs. Quit at the Act 4 In Plain Sight mission because with the goofy controls I couldn't get his arse on a boat. No matter what I did he was content on just sitting in the water being shot.

Probably the fact that everyone is an IRL Watch Dogs player these days? In Watch Dogs you're essentially a woke rioter who thinks he is saving and changing the world by ruining people's lives. It's exactly what all the Antifa, BLM or anti-corona rioters are doing currently. All think they are woke and know better so they go and assault the police, loot and riot. Can save the money and just head to YouTube instead of buying the game.

So essentially, the Watchdogs series is Woke simulator 😂

  • The fact that you can "recruit" almost anyone in the streets means they'll all be rather generic characters. There's no way the devs can create interesting, fully personal experiences for every single one of them. Shallow carbon-copy characters are hardly an exciting feature.
  • The whole recruitment-thing makes zero sense. I mean, you go and help some rando and POOF -- they're magically, instantly a James/Jeanette Bond, all without any training or anything.
  • It's a Ubisoft-game. Ubisoft-games are horribly, HORRIBLY formulaic games and all the gameplay-videos I've seen indicate the new Watchdogs ain't any different.

I've seen some nice character procedural generation systems in my time... They most definitely can do that, but are unlikely to do so.

That depends on what you mean by "formulaic".
