Does x570 add much over the b550 for zen 3?

So here is my problem  there is a b550 mobo that i really like (gigabyte vision D) and i plan on getting a zen 3 cpu (prob r7/r9) now what does the x570 have that the b550 does not? I'm having a hard time finding stuff on google pls help thanks.

Both will support zen 3 with a bios update. 

Generally it should be the same thing when it comes to support. 

The vision D however is an overpriced board for what it offers in all honesty, are you limited to it? And budget for a board?

not on a budget just not a 1000$ mobo I need a white mobo that simply does not exist on the x570 the prime pro is very ugly

Well the b550 strix a is pretty decent and the b550 prime pro is also decent. The vision D is decent just overpriced for what it is.

I do not mind the price that board is very good looking my question is wtf are the differences between the b550 and x570

With X570 you get PCIe 4.0 lanes directly from the chipset and a bit more USB bandwidth.

Basically unless you plan on throwing three PCIe 4.0 SSDs in there, you'll be fine with B550.

B550 allows the lanes that are connected to the cpu to be gen 4 while the chipset lanes are gen 3, x570 is gen 4 across the whole board. 

But yea I'd look for the strix a and the b550 prime pro which are also decent.

yes it voids warranty. if you are careful you can not harm the board. i've painted couple mothertboards myself

ngl the only thing I plan on painting is the psu shroud on a meshify s2 to white

you can also paint the pci e covers and io shield to white. they are the easiest. mayby paint all the screws to white too. does nto take much time and will look nice.

Still, why would you go this route instead of going with a white motherboard in the first place?

Io shield is white on both boards recommended to me and yes pcie covers are also planned but I am not sitting down for an hour painting screws

I'd recommend you'd just go with the (stock!) white motherboard already provided to you.

case pcie covers are super easy to paint you just remove them I am not painting anything on the mobo
