I have 2x16gb 3600mhz RAM running at 3400mhz

maybe board upgrade can help with this, but we're talking high end boards here

a GTX 1070ti (hopefully a RTX 3080 soon) if that means anything.

current board's good for 1070ti, 3080 on PCIe 3's performance can only be known after reviews roll out

just keep the board for now

What I have right now: https://www.awd-it.co.uk/msi-b450-gaming-pro-carbon-ac-amd-rgb-atx-ddr4-motherboard-socket-am4.html?wgu=13527_206719_15998383963166_b2e7799315&wgexpiry=1607614396&source=webgains&siteid=206719

It performs fine, but will I see any benefits by upgrading my motherboard to X570 or B550? I don't intend to upgrade to Zen 3 this launch. I have 2x16gb 3600mhz RAM running at 3400mhz and a GTX 1070ti (hopefully a RTX 3080 soon) if that means anything.

Your board is good. the only benefit of B550/X570 is PCIe Gen 4, which currently doesn't have a performance benefit for GPUs

You could even probably get Zen 3 on your current motherboard.
