Firsr Time PC Build Ready (I Think)

Inforno

Budget (including currency): $3000

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming

Other details:

Hi All,

I posted a few days ago but now think I have completed the list of parts for my new PC. This is the first time I am even owning a PC as I usually just used a laptop so want to get this right the first time. So if you have any criticisms or suggestions please let me know.

Here is a bit of what I was looking for -
$3000 budget
RGB Free (White and Black)

Mostly Gaming use but I want sleek minimalistic feel to the setup

New CPU and GPU ready (AMD Zen 3 and Nividia 3090)
4-5 year life before needing to upgrade

I also need to buy the computer periphials like the monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. I am still looking for the right monitor so welcome to suggestions on that. For the mouse and keyboard I am looking at the new Razer Pro Type and Click (although without usb-c kind of a downer) due to its sleek design.

Since pcpartpicker does not have a complete list of things, want to mention that the GPU would be the 3090 and the chip would be one of the new Zen 3 (debating if I should get a cheap chip for the meantime since there is still no confirmed release date). Also not on the list are some Arctic P14 fans.

Like I said, first time building a PC so if there are any parts I am missing such as cables please let me know. Also can someone explain how I install windows. I am sure I can find a guide somewhere but do I need to have usb read of some sorts?

all cables should be included and you install a copy of windows from the internet to the usb and select it as the boot drive at the bios screen when first powering on

The CPU is overkill but like I said I want to upgrade every 4-5 years and I think just getting a higher end will help make it last longer in terms of keeping up with game requirements.

Same with the RAM, I don't mind spending a bit more to get 32gb 3600 cl16 to get longevity.

Will definitely look into the other suggestions and see  their specs.

Games haven't really begun using 8 cores yet, you'll be waiting a very long time for the extra you've paid for the 3900x to be worth it. By then you can get another CPU that'll run miles around the 3900x.

RAM is stupid easy to upgrade, just push the tabs and insert it in.
