PSU for Ampere

Skrubbmeister

i7-10700k overclocked to 5.1ghz and RTX 3080, is an 850-watt PSU enough? Got a Corsair RM850x in preparation for the upgrade, but after deciding on overclocking, I'm wondering if I need more juice. What do you think?

Other components in the system:

- 1x m.2 ssd

- 1x standard 2.5" ssd

- 6x 120mm RGB fans

- 1x Corsair Hydro 150i Pro RGB

Might add a standard HDD, but I have no intentions on adding an optical drive.

Wait for ampere and check the 3080's power consumption, but for the most part, 850w should be more than enough.

Even Corsair is "only" suggesting 850 when siding with caution.  You're more than fine.

I believe Nvidia is only suggesting 750W.
