The only bottleneck will be the lack of PCIE gen 4 on your board.

we wont know if pcie 4.0 matters, reviews will tell the full story

but most likely not though, unless future games are developed differently

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

If you are afraid, go Ryzen, because Intel 10th gen is a real dissapointment + they still didn't implement the PCIE gen 4 into their boards, which is unacceptable and a real deal-breaker to me.

Me neither, I will also buy the 3070 or 3080, so we will see how will the lack of PCIE 4.0 affect the performace. I'm sure that somebody will test it in the future reviews.

gen 3 to gen 4 bottleneck will be minimal but it will exist, the 9600k is more of a concern for games that use more than 6 threads, but neither of these is big enough for an upgrade, though if zen 3 is cheap enough you get the best of both, i definitely wouldn't buy zen 2 right now, wait for reviews.

that's up to you, it will be functional, maybe a stutter here and there, but a majority of people according to steam is still on 4c/8t.
