How to fix defective pixels in Laptop display?

I have a Lenovo Ideapad that was purchased in March 2019, and is running smoothly, however today I noticed that in a dark screen, one pixel was still shining white light, and after trying the Monitor test, found that the pixel shined white light inspite of the background. Kindly suggest a fix for this problem.

you could try run some "burn-in fix" videos on youtube for some hours, but if it's stuck good, it's permanent.

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

That, my friend, sounds to me like a dead or stuck pixel. If it's a stuck pixel, it's possible that a tool like JScreenFix might help, or you can try one of the many other troubleshooting methods online. If it's a dead pixel, there's really nothing you can do. If it's under warranty, you could try contacting Lenovo for a replacement screen, but most companies won't start an RMA for a single dead pixel.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

PSA: Posting a PCPartPicker list with no explanation isn't helpful for first-time builders :)

Send it in for RMA and claim your warranty. At least you'll get a good display, at most, you'll get a new laptop.

I am out of warranty and am currently trying if the other solutions work. Else will get the display fixed.
