$350 USD? Yes, if it still works well enough then thats a steal. A 1080 has around the same performance as a 2070 or a 5700xt and those things definitely aren't cheap. Nice find! I recommend it if you are willing to buy it.

No they're not. Even the 5700 non-XT is very slightly better than the 1080.

The 1080 is a lot closer to the 2060 and 5600XT. In fact the 2060 does beat it in certain titles that are better optimised for Turing.

thats pretty bad pricing for a 5700xt, if its in good condition then go with it. unless a rtx 2060 cost similar.

How much can you get the 1080 for in your currency, not USD, and what exact model is it?

You can probably find a 5700xt for that price which is closer to a 1080ti (a little behind), though if the 5700xt is more than 350 bucks, a 5600xt/2060 should be around 300-350ish bucks and perform about the same and are well.. new.

ah then yea you can find a 2060 for around that price or cheaper and that's a better deal, and turing nvec is better than the hardware encoder on pascal cards.

Ah wow, so prices are a little high where you live, well if that's how they're normally priced, then i guess that would be a good deal.

You could get either of these for around the same price:

https://se.pcpartpicker.com/product/KX66Mp/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2060-6-gb-oc-video-card-gv-n2060oc-6gd

https://se.pcpartpicker.com/product/n4ZzK8/sapphire-radeon-rx-5600-xt-6-gb-pulse-video-card-11296-01-20g

Performance-wise they're similar:

(synthetic benchmarks aren't the be all and end all but that's just to give you a rough idea of how they compare to the 1080)

They pull less power (especially in the case of the 2060), have better or similar hardware encoders (from what I've heard AMD VCE might actually be slightly better than Pascal Turing nowadays with driver updates), are newer and come with warranty.

If you feel like the extra VRAM outweights the advantages of the newer cards, then by all means you could just go with the 1080.

Well I don't really know what to choose tbh I'm not good at GPUs but the 2060 would be more expensive but better right?

Strictly between the two, I'd personally take the 2060 because of the reasons I mentioned above and then some other ones, like DLSS if you play at higher resolutions for example.

Price seems high for a card like a 1080. Assuming you have a cpu that can keep up I’d say it’s a good buy at 250-300 for a good version of the card.
Does ok for frames still.
