After basically my whole life using an hdd i finally upgraded to an ssd and holy shit i can finally see above 60 fps

SSDs improve loading times, they dont change your FPS (apart from your 1% and 0.1% lows in some games, mainly open world).

The placebo effect must be strong in this one if they believe a SSD will give them 60fps... More likely the loading of assets that was slow for some reason. (Any modern HDD shouldn't have so much issues that you'd notice it though... Were you perhaps using a "Green" drive ?)
